LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Collective bargaining was a hot topic at Monday night’s Fayette County Public School Board meeting.

A motion to put it on the agenda was voted down 3-2.

The work group to discuss collective bargaining was originally introduced by Erika Pennington, President of the Fayette County Education Association.

Many, including Amanda Ferguson, questioned who was involved in that group.

“It is completely led by FCEA, I reached out, I got the people,” Pennington said.

Those people include district administration, members who are teachers and classified members like bus drivers and registrars.
