As the federal government shutdown continues, millions across the country are bracing for the possibility of losing SNAP benefits as soon as Nov. 1.

In Hamilton County alone, around 53,000 adults and 43,000 children rely on federal food assistance.
Food pantries in the Greater Cincinnati area said they are already serving many people and are ready to help more, if the government shutdown persists and funding for SNAP benefits were to expire.
