WOOSTER, Ohio (WOIO) - The Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center is asking for the community’s assistance after taking in 17 dogs “in desperate need of our help” on Oct. 22.
WCDSAC said it is unable to share details of the case at this time, but assured “that these animals are now safe, receiving veterinary care, and beginning their recovery in a calm and supportive environment.”
All 17 dogs were examined by the shelter’s veterinarian by Oct. 23 and responded well to care so far, according to WCDSAC.
“Our staff and volunteers are working tirelessly to ensure these new additions to our shelter receive the nutrition, comfort, and attention they need,” WCDSAC stated.
“This intake has placed a significant strain on our shelter’s resources, and we are asking for help from our compass
