Niagara’s Theatre Bacchus will throw a festive housewarming party next month for its temporary new home.
As it continues work toward a permanent, environmentally designed theatre within the region, the five-year-old company has settled into the former Beamsville District Secondary School.
It marks its new location with a production of “A Christmas Carol” opening Nov. 28.
Theatre Bacchus artistic director Lana Borsellino said the “semi-permanent” location makes use of the theatre space within the school, which closed in 2022.
“It’s got a beautiful auditorium that (has) a fully dressed stage, with the lights and sound system and the curtains and everything,” she said.
“The building itself is in remarkably good shape.”
