With voter support dwindling for B.C. Conservative Leader John Rustad, a pollster suggests it may not be long before he’s forced out.
“It looks bad for him. He can go down kicking and screaming but there’s no real recovery,” said Steve Mossop, executive vice-president of Leger 360.
The Leger poll, released Tuesday, asked a representative sample of eligible B.C. voters their thoughts on the province’s three major political parties and their leaders earlier this month.
The poll found that 46 per cent of Tory supporters feel Rustad should step down in light of the recent controversy that has plagued his party, while 40 per cent of all respondents say they’re less likely to vote for the Conservatives if Rustad stays on as leader.
