NEW ORLEANS — A powerful new documentary is shining a global spotlight on a story that WWL Louisiana has been covering extensively for years.
“God as My Witness” premiered last week at the New Orleans Film Festival, a fitting debut for a film that hits close to home. Directed by Louisiana native Lindsay Pitre, the documentary draws from years of WWL’s investigative reporting into the Archdiocese of New Orleans clergy sex abuse scandal.
“It’s good to be home. I’m so excited to show it to my hometown,” said Pitre.
