HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- New video obtained by News13 shows Horry County first responders and bystanders rescuing a woman from a car partially submerged in a pond along Highway 17 Bypass Tuesday afternoon.
The video, provided to News13 by Eric Maher, shows the dramatic rescue unfolding along Highway 17 Bypass in front of Hamrick's department store. It happened at about 2:45 p.m.
The video shows rescuers pulling the woman out of the car through the driver's side window and carrying her safely to a grassy area next to the pond. The woman and two bystanders who assisted in the rescue were evaluated by medics, but no one was taken to the hospital, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
