SAN DIEGO (Border Report) -- As people drive past the man selling churros along the northbound lanes of the San Ysidro Port of Entry, they will be able to see a new mural in honor of Tijuana native Alejandro Kirk.

Kirk is the catcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, who are playing the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball's World Series this week.

"I'm super proud," said fan Adolfo Hernandez.

Others expressed the same form of pride when speaking about Kirk, who is the clean-up hitter for the Blue Jays.

He has hit two home runs in the series already including a three-run shot Monday night in Los Angeles.
