OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Homeless encampments in the metro are being cleared away as Governor Kevin Stitt takes his 'Operation Safe' initiative from Tulsa to Oklahoma City.

Along with the Governor's Office, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the local non-profit 'Key to Home' are working to keep homeless individuals off of state property.

'Key to Home' is offering them a place to relocate before OHP steps in with enforcement.

Jamie Caves, the Homeless Strategy Implementation Manager, said those who choose to seek shelter will receive three meals a day with a warm and dry place to sleep at night.
