The Trump administration scored a brief court win on Tuesday night as a federal appeals court agreed to reconsider a major case that blocked the deployment of National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon.
The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals previously temporarily blocked President Donald Trump from sending National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, vacating a ruling that had allowed the deployment. However, the appeals court on Tuesday agreed to rehear the case en banc, meaning with all judges present.
CNN reported that court "paved the way" for Trump to deploy troops to Portland while the state's case against him plays out.
