The US has carried out a series of strikes against four more alleged drug boats in the Pacific, killing at least 14 people and leaving one survivor.
US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the strikes were part of President Donald Trump's campaign against drug trafficking in the waters off South America.
Mr Hegseth posted a short video online that appeared to show the vessels, two of which were close together, exploding.
In a social media post Mr Hegseth said Mexican authorities took over the search-and-rescue operation for the lone survivor from the three strikes, which took place on Monday, local time.
"The four vessels were known by our intelligence apparatus, transiting along known narco-trafficking routes, and carrying narcotics," he said.
