A purported acid attack case involving a 20-year-old Delhi University student has taken a dramatic turn, with the Delhi Police alleging that the incident was staged at the direction of her father, who is now facing arrest over a rape allegation.
A second year B. Com student enrolled in Delhi University's Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB), had alleged on the morning of Sunday, October 26, that three men hurled acid at her near Ashok Vihar, causing burn injuries on her hands, as per news agency PTI.
She identified the accused persons as Jitender, and his accomplices, Ishan and Arman (both brothers), who later turned out to be her relatives.
