China's Defence Ministry on Wednesday said that the Chinese and Indian militaries held “active and in-depth” discussions on managing and controlling the western section of their shared border, news agency Reuters reported.
The talks, held on the Indian side of a designated meeting point on October 25, concluded with both sides agreeing to maintain regular communication and dialogue through military and diplomatic channels, the Ministry added.
In July, the two neighbouring nations held discussions on the border situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, which China described as “candid.”
The meeting was held under the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) framework for India-China border affairs.
