LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A Kentucky gun store is arguing that it should not be held civilly responsible for the Old National Bank shooting in Louisville.

A former employee at the bank killed five people and injured several others in April 2023. He was shot and killed by police.

He purchased the weapon used in the shooting from River City Firearms, which is now located in Mt. Washington.

The estates of the victims filed a lawsuit against the gun store, along with a firearm distributor and manufacturer.

The lawsuit claims employees at the store overlooked red flags during the sale.
