OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reports SWAT responded to a barricaded suspect on Tuesday.

Deputies said they responded to Harry’s Drive around 3:40 p.m., where a man with a weapon inside a residence was making threats of harm to himself and a woman.

SWAT responded around 7:10 p.m. when attempts to resolve the situation peacefully failed. They entered the residence around 8:10 p.m. and took the man into custody around 8:30 p.m., according to deputies.

The suspect has not yet been identified.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
