Chennai: Cyclone Montha has completed its landfall, crossing the Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kalingapattinam near Kakinada in the early hours of Wednesday. The severe cyclonic storm brought destructive winds with speeds reaching 110 kmph, causing significant damage in coastal Andhra districts, including uprooted trees and widespread disruption. Tragically, the storm claimed the life of a woman in Alluri district after a tree fell on her, while two others were hospitalized with serious injuries due to the intense rain and flooding.
