A shuttle bus belonging to Air India SATS (AISATS) caught fire at Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The fire broke out around 1 p.m. while the bus was parked near an Air India aircraft. It was empty at the time, and no injuries or casualties were reported, officials confirmed.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI) Vichitra Veer said only the driver was present when the fire started. The blaze was quickly brought under control by airport fire officials, with support from the police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel.
