WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVO) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested one man and issued a detainer for another after a deadly crash that killed an Illinois county board member and his wife last week.
According to the Illinois State Police, Edwin Pacheco Meza, 34, of Indianapolis, was charged with reckless homicide and two counts of aggravated driving under the influence on Monday for causing a crash on W. Lincoln Street near S. Division Street in Westfield.
Authorities said Coles County Board Member Michael Clayton, 71, and his wife, Gail, 66, were killed when Pacheco-Meza's conversion van crossed the center line and hit his pickup truck head-on Friday night.
