KINGSLAND, Ga. — What began as a community search for a missing 15-year-old boy in Kingsland has turned into heartbreak. The City of Kingsland Police Department confirmed that the teen, identified by family as Luke Dowell, was found dead four days after he was reported missing.

Dowell was last seen Friday morning, Oct. 24, near May Creek Road and was reported missing the next day, according to the Kingsland Police Department.

Officials confirmed his death Tuesday but have not released additional details.

Camden County Schools, where Dowell was a student, released the following statement:
