Nagpur : Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari has suspended 29 sanitation workers from the Solid Waste Management Department for remaining absent from duty without permission.

The action follows several complaints received by Dr. Chaudhari regarding frequent absenteeism among sanitation workers. Acting on his directions, attendance registers at ward-level attendance centers across all ten zones were inspected on October 20.
