Former NHL player Ryan Kesler has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree in Michigan, according to court records.
Kesler, 41, pleaded not guilty to the charges during his arraignment in Bloomfield Hills District Court on Monday. The Detroit native posted $50,000 bond and was ordered not to leave the state of Michigan without court permission, ESPN reports .
His next court appearance is a probable cause conference scheduled for Nov. 6.
The charges against Kesler were filed on Oct. 23 based on alleged events that occurred Jan. 1 in Orchard Lake, Michigan, and were reported the following day, police said.
