By-elections announced in 12 wards of Delhi Municipal Corporation
The Delhi State Election Commission on Tuesday announced by-elections for 12 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
According to the official notification, voting will be held on November 30, while counting of votes will take place on December 3.
The last date for filing nominations is November 10, followed by scrutiny on November 12, and the withdrawal of nominations by November 15.
Out of the 12 MCD seats, five have been reserved for women, in what officials describe as a step to enhance women’s participation in local governance.
