Spokane WIC offices to close Oct. 30 due to federal shutdown

SPOKANE, Wash. – Due to the federal government shutdown, the Spokane Regional Health District’s (SRHD) WIC offices will close temporarily on Thursday, Oct. 30, SRHD announced in a release .

Residents are advised to continue using their benefits as usual. SRHD said it’s collaborating with the Washington State Department of Health to ensure all WIC participants’ benefits will automatically renew through November.

To determine eligibility for WIC benefits, some offices in the Spokane area remain open. Residents can use the “Find a WIC Office” button in the WICShopper app or visit the WIC Clinic Locator online to locate open offices.
