FARGO — Red River Regional Dispatch showed off its new multi-million-dollar space in north Fargo on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Leaders from both Cass and Clay counties were on hand to check out the new facilities, which cost $13 million.

Staff say the goal was to give dispatchers more space to operate, and the space can accommodate more desk space if additional staffing is needed.

While an update in technology is designed to help callers with emergencies short-term, the new space may also benefit dispatcher health.

“(The space) really gives our staff places to decompress. This has wellness rooms, where they can step away and step out of the radio room and go decompress for 15-20 minutes after a tough call,” said Amanda Glasoe, director of Red River Regional Dispatch.
