Public school investment is paying off for us all
Regarding the article “Pay raises, new positions at stake with Northwest Allen County Schools referendum (Oct. 25),” I want to express my full support for Superintendent Wayne Barker and the leadership at NACS as they work through this important decision.
It takes courage to ask a community to invest more in its schools, but it also takes honesty and vision to explain why it matters. Northwest Allen is the first district in our area to take this step, but communities such as mine and many other school districts across northeast Indiana will need to face the same reality soon.
I live in Columbia City and have two daughters, one currently attending Whitley County Consolidated Schools and another who will soon begin her journey there. I see
