FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Can you guess who this Fresno State football player is named after?
Senior defensive tackle Michael Jordan Jr. has been making plays for the Bulldogs' defense this season. He recorded a career high of four tackles against San Diego State on Sunday.
"It got easier as I got older, once I got an ID and could prove that that was my name. Before it was always like 'what's your name?', Michael Jordan... nobody believed me," Michael Jordan Jr. said.
He says his grandma from North Carolina did not name his dad after the Jumpman. So you can cross that guess out.
The transfer from Northern Colorado got his start playing at Reedley College, where for two years in a row was named first-team all-conference.
