Bhadrak: In a poignant and heart-wrenching incident, a woman and her son were cremated together in an emotional farewell.

According to reports, Satyaranjan Tripathy (35), son of Sridhar Tripathy from Korakada village under Khadipada panchayat in Dhamnagar block, had been suffering from kidney disease for a long time. For the sake of his son, who was fighting between life and death, mother his mother Meera Tripathy donated one of her kidneys. With the help of villagers and philanthropists, the expensive kidney transplant was done. For some days, Satyaranjan also lived a healthy life.

Satyaranjan suddenly felt difficulty in breathing in the morning. While going to Bhubaneswar for treatment, he died on the way. Meera couldn’t bear the news of her son’s death. She also passed away.
