DEVILLE, La. (KALB) - When Marksville and Buckeye meet on Halloween Night, state playoff seedings will be at stake for both schools.

For Buckeye, they’ve dropped four of their past five games after a 3-0 start, including a 20-13 defeat on the road against Caldwell Parish last Friday. The Panthers did win this matchup on the road last season, 30-8.

“I think the biggest thing is, you’ve gotta contain their athletes,“ Buckeye Football head coach Aaron York said on stopping Marksville again. ”Keep them within the box, and don’t give up the big play defensively. I thought our defense; they played great all year.”
