CROSBY — The postseason is when good players are supposed to shine and Swanville’s Addison Hudalla did just that.
The 6-foot-2 power hitter for the top-seeded Swanville Bulldogs finished with 20 kills and 13 blocks, leading her team to a 3-1 victory over No. 2 Pine River-Backus in the East Subsection 5-1A Finals Tuesday, Oct. 28.
The Tigers opened with a 26-24 first-set win, playing almost error-free to combat Hudalla.
“We had really good ball control and we were aggressive,” PRB head coach Crysta Blake said. “Everyone had their adrenaline going and I think that kind of crashed out in that second set. That first set, we didn’t have a lot of ball-handling errors. We played really good volleyball.”
The second set belonged to Swanville as it erupted for a 9-0 advantage. The lead grew to 2
