PORTALES, New Mexico (KFDA) - Eastern New Mexico’s quarterback, Jarius Stewart, has been named the national offensive player of the week by D2Football.com after an outstanding performance.

In a recent victory against Western New Mexico, Stewart rushed for an incredible 382 yards on 32 carries, helping the Greyhounds secure a 59-35 win in the Chile Bowl.

Stewart’s Individual and Conference Milestones

Individually, Jarius Stewart made history by setting a new all-time NCAA record for rushing yards by a quarterback, surpassing the previous DII record of 323 yards set by Shawn Graves in 1990 and the all-time record of 342 yards held by Matt Roe since 2004.
