Mumbai, Oct 29: The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, appealing to confer the Padma Shri Award (Posthumously) on veteran actor Satish Shah in recognition of his remarkable contribution to Indian cinema and television.
In a heartfelt letter sent on Tuesday, FWICE described Shah as a “rare and gifted artist” whose performances brought “joy, laughter, and emotion to millions across the nation.” The federation, representing 36 affiliated associations and thousands of members from the Indian film, television, and digital sectors, urged the Prime Minister to honour the late actor’s enduring legacy.
