Elizabeth (“Liz”) Mitchell Day died in Birmingham, AL on Monday, October 20 at the age of 89.

Liz was married for 62 years to her husband, Paul Phillip (Phil) Day who preceded her in death.

Liz is survived by her loving family: her son, Jeffrey Paul Day (Mona) of Mason, OH; her daughter, Ann Day Hunt (David) of Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Liz was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan on January 7, 1936, the only child of her parents, Hubbard and Elizabeth Mitchell. She attended the College of William & Mary for her undergraduate degree where she became a lifelong member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
