WARREN TOWNSHIP — Township officials said the year has been successful in securing grants for different projects and efforts to get more staff for the police and fire departments.
Trustee Ed Anthony told about 30 residents at Tuesday’s meeting that the township has been able to get $431,000 in various grants this year for road work and equipment for different departments. He said $264,000 in Ohio Public Works Commission funds was secured for road projects.
He said 2025 was one of the township’s best years for securing large amounts of grants. Anthony said in the past eight years, the township was able to get 32 roads paved at a cost of $3,257,622 and seven roads chipped and sealed at $109,000 as well as securing other funding for sidewalks.
