COLONIE, NY (NEWS10) -- The Columbia boys soccer team has had a dominant season. The Blue Devils entered their semifinal matchup with Niskayuna, the 4-seed, on Tuesday night with a 14-0-2 record, ranked 4th in the state for Class AA. They kept it rolling Tuesday night at Colonie High School.
The Blue Devils were on the attack early and often, but struggled to take advantage of their chances early in the first half. They finally broke through on an Aiden Graber goal with under two minutes to go in the half, taking a 1-0 lead into the break.
Early in the second half, Matthew Gatchell tallied Columbia's second goal of the night. The Blue Devils cruised from there on the way to a 4-1 win, advancing to the Class AA title game.
