Jagiroad: A gynaecologist at Morigaon Civil Hospital was among three people killed on Tuesday morning when a speeding Creta vehicle collided with a road divider and overturned on National Highway 27 at Silchang, Jagiroad.

According to police, the accident occurred around 3:30 am when a speeding Creta travelling from Jagiroad towards Nagaon lost control, struck the road divider, and skidded violently across the highway before crashing. The impact of the crash was so severe that the vehicle was mangled beyond recognition.

The deceased have been identified as Dr. Kantheswar Bordoloi, Ashfiq Hussain, and Manas Mahanta. All three died on the spot, while two other passengers sustained critical injuries and were transferred to Nagaon for medical treatment. The vehicle, bearing registration
