Srinagar: The government has clarified that the Municipal Council Bandipora has not been excluded from the AMRUT Scheme and its Water Supply Scheme (WSS) was prepared under AMRUT 2.0 but could not be taken up due to restricted ceiling limits.
According to official documents, the government, said the Union Territory Level Screening Committee (UTLSC) has now decided to take up all such projects under the Capex Scheme in the coming financial years.
The government said Bandipora is already at par with other developed municipalities in Jammu and Kashmir, with infrastructure development being carried out under various schemes, including the UT Capex Budget, NGT, and SBM-U (2.0).
