Detectives Say the Organized Group Used Stolen Vehicles to Ram Luxury Eyewear and Boutique Storefronts
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department say a sophisticated burglary crew accused of targeting high-end optical and luxury retailers across Southern California has been arrested following a months-long investigation. The crimes took place in the city of Los Angeles, Venice, Manhattan Beach, and the city of Beverly Hills, among other localities.
According to LAPD’s Commercial Crimes Division and North Hollywood Division, the group carried out a string of “smash-and-grab” burglaries between February and July 2025 at eyewear boutiques and designer stores in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
