HOULTON, Maine (WAGM) - Two women are in custody after a car chase that started in Houlton and crossed into Canada.
Rachael Kennedy, 37, of Kansas, and Rashidah Henry, 31, of Georgia, are both facing separate charges after the incident last Friday.
Police said Kennedy tried to use a fake passport at Katahdin Trust Bank on Oct. 24. An officer spotted her fleeing the bank and entering a light blue Chevrolet.
When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, Henry, who was driving, refused to stop and led police on a high-speed chase, police said.
The pursuit went north on Interstate 95 and continued through the U.S. and Canadian port of entry. Houlton police terminated their pursuit at the border, but the Royal Canadian Mounted Police continued the chase.
RCMP officers located the vehicle
