A 28-year-old man from Chigweche Village, Traditional Authority Lundu, in Chikwawa District has been arrested in Mzimba for allegedly committing burglary and theft.

Mzimba Police Station spokesperson, Mariah Banda, confirmed the arrest of Steven Chilenje, saying he was apprehended on October 28, 2025, during an intelligence-driven operation carried out by the Mzimba Police.

Banda said police recovered several stolen items during the operation, including a pressure cooker, a Samsung plasma TV, a wheelbarrow, a thermoflash disc, two food warmers, a laptop bag, a scientific calculator, primary school identification cards, two sofa cushions, and a pair of slippers, all valued at approximately K3 million.
