October has been filled with trunk-or-treats, spooky hayrides and other harvest-themed gatherings. Carved pumpkins are placed on doorsteps — and along designated walking paths — as frightening Halloween displays have transformed homes throughout New York.
Halloween is just days away and the excitement is building across the the Empire State.
This year, meteorologists are keeping a close eye on conditions — especially as a potentially catastrophic hurricane spins in the Atlantic, which could potentially impact the East Coast later this week, regardless of landfall.
