At the Public Safety and Courts Committee meeting, committee members considered several agenda items, including moving the Crime Victim Rights program grant to the full board of commissioners.
The grant agreement, between Michigan Health and Human Services Department and Mason County Prosecutor’s Office, would provide $42,676 in funding to establish procedures and develop budgetary and training criteria to implement the Crime Victim Rights program.
The annual grant covers the period between Oct. 1, 2025 through Sept. 30, 2026, and provides services to crime victims.
