TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)— Five men who were found guilty in the murder of 4-year-old Suni Bell are set to be sentenced today.
On Sept. 17, Quandarious Hammond, Zvante Sampson, Jaylin Bedward, Andrew Thompson, and James Denson were convicted of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and shooting at or within a vehicle.
According to the Office of the State Attorney, each person will receive a mandatory sentence of life in prison for the first-degree murder charges.
In August 2021, 4-year-old Suni Bell was in the backseat of the family's car as they drove along Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa.
