After a 10-week regular season to get to this point, Ohio high school football heats up this week with Round 1 of the OHSAA state playoffs featuring a handful of Greater Akron teams.

Nine area teams will play first-round games at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, and eight other teams earned first-round byes and will play next week in the second round.
