BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Josiah Dyer , 20, from Charleston, Maine will audition in front of celebrity judges from the American singing competition television series ‘American Idol.’

Dyer started learning guitar at 11 and started singing at 14. His first song he learned was “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.

Dyer has been performing publicly for the last few years, often visiting and performing for residents at Solstice Senior Living in Bangor.

He has won several local amateur singing competitions.

His future dream is to one day perform onstage with Country Music Superstar Josh Turner.

Dyer’s debut album “Time Won’t Last Forever” is out now both on CD and digital.
