NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — Orange Village Deputy Chief Patrick O’Callahan has been placed on administrative leave after being charged with OVI and traffic violations following a traffic stop in North Royalton.
According to Parma Municipal Court records, O’Callahan was charged with:
OVI
Speeding (55 mph in a 35 mph zone)
Driving on the right side of the roadway
He entered a not guilty plea to all charges. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Nov. 3 at 8:30 a.m.
In a press release, the Orange Village Police Department said it has been made aware of the incident and the charges against O’Callahan. The department noted that he was “immediately placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.”
