FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two sisters have been identified as the two people killed in a car crash in Fresno County.

It happened just after 11 pm on Tuesday near the intersection of Belmont and Brawley, just outside Fresno.

The California Highway Patrol says a 21-year-old Angelina Nino was driving well over the speed limit when she failed to stop at the sign on Brawley.

The woman continued driving east before abruptly turning and going off the roadway.

Officers say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

14-year old Rayla Piedra was taken to the hospital with major injures, where she later died.

Authorities now confirming she was a student at Justin Garza High School in Central Unified.

Another passenger, a 27-year-old man, also suffered major injures and remains in the
