Maryland House Republicans are calling on Gov. Wes Moore to terminate Rafael López, secretary of the Department of Human Services, after a new report revealed violations of his directive on foster care placements.

The report showed that DHS violated a ban on placing foster care children in hotels and other unlicensed settings. This also comes after a scathing audit found that the DHS Social Services Administration allowed children in its care to live or interact with individuals convicted of serious crimes.
