A chilling assassination plot against Iranian American journalist Masih Alinejad was nearly executed, according to prosecutors in a Manhattan federal court. Two purported Russian mobsters, Rafat Amirov and Polad Omarov, face up to 55 years in prison for their involvement in the plan.
