Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson announced that the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) will accept a new round of applications for its Wild Hog Control Program (WHCP) beginning Saturday, Nov. 1, through Saturday, Nov. 15.

MDAC says all Mississippi counties are eligible during this application period. The WHCP provides support to landowners and communities working to reduce damage caused by wild hogs.

Applicants can find full details and apply through MDAC’s website; additional information is available in the department’s announcement.
