CINCINNATI (WXIX)- Family and friends of a 27-year-old man gunned down in Kennedy Heights more than four years ago and one of the suspects all showed up at the Hamilton County Courthouse this week hoping to finally get some justice.

But they left without a resolution because the judge recused himself, causing yet another delay in the case.

Ryan Casey was shot multiple times in what prosecutors say was a “targeted attack” at an apartment on Northdale Place early Sept. 3, 2021. He was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving behind a 4-year-old son.

Two men are charged with murder and illegally having guns because they are convicted felons: Corey Ringer, 34, of Pleasant Ridge, and Kameron Scott, 31, of Kennedy Heights.
